Construction of a 38,000-square-foot printing plant to house The Times' new press began in August 2009. The new building is adjacent to the existing newsprint warehouse at the corner of Marshall and Lake St. in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana.

The new press will dramatically improve the print quality and present news and advertising in a more graphically pleasing way. The construction and press installation will be completed in the fall of 2010.
